Outdoor attractions and activities in natural places are popular too. Mountain biking, climbing, hiking, swimming and rafting are all activities that are popular. Visiting the beach or having a picnic if the weather is fine might be a cheap option.
With a little planning half term holidays need not be a chore and something to dread. Instead they can be an opportunity for the family to have fun, learn something and spend time together.
