You just cannot beat the unspoiled beauty of the Amazon rain forest. The dense Lush tropical jungle of South America may not have the luxuries of any modern day amenities but what it does have is an abundance of flora and fauna that cannot be matched anywhere else in this world.
It is thought that there are roughly 300 different species of plants in this rainforest but there are probably quite a few more that have remained undiscovered by the many scientists that have ventured here. The river that flows through the forest is the mighty Amazon and the water flow is said to be about one fifth of the whole planets water. This has given rise to the Amazon being known as the water basin of the Earth.
There are natives that inhabit this land and they are a mixed European and indigenous race known as the Mestizo clan. These natives use the natural food sources of the Amazon rain forest to survive in this place. They sometimes have to make the hike to the nearest towns if they need any necessities but otherwise they just farm the forest.
The rain forest can blame the damp atmosphere on the amount of rain fall that it is subjected too as it can receive nine feet of rain almost yearly. But that still does not detract from the beauty of this place.
You can find a plethora of waterfalls when you are hiking through this beautiful place that seems to be pouring water form an endless tap.
Hikers will trample through all manners of green vegetation that seems to just be endless. This certainly makes you realize how beautiful the natural environment really can be.
The temperature in the rain forest can be as high as 100 degrees but you can still be safely sheltered from this heat thanks to the tall trees that surround this area.
This place is so beautiful that even the finest videos or photographs still struggle to do it justice.
