If your current school contends that you give notice in accordance with contractual agreement, although they won’t offer you a letter of release or a reference then you don’t have to stay should you have a brand new job prepared. While it is true that if you do not possess a letter of release you’ll need to be with the school at immigration to end your individual visa, the school will have to terminate it independently if you don’t make an appearance for work.
